In Settings, choose the code unknown callers will need to enter. Share it only with people you want ringing through.
Open "Set up call forwarding," pick your carrier, and dial the enable code the app gives you (for example *71 on Verizon). Save the PrivyPIN access number as a contact so screened calls aren't silenced.
In your iPhone's Phone settings, turn on "Silence Unknown Callers" so unrecognized numbers roll to PrivyPIN for screening instead of ringing you directly.
Almost always a forwarding issue. Re-dial your carrier's enable code from the setup screen, confirm "Silence Unknown Callers" is on, and make sure you haven't disabled forwarding with *73. Some carriers reset forwarding after a network change — just dial the enable code again.
Open the Contacts tab and make sure that person is toggled on. If they call from a second number, add that number too — screening matches on the exact number that's calling.
Save the PrivyPIN access number as a contact named "PrivyPIN." Because screened calls ring you from that number, it has to be a saved contact or "Silence Unknown Callers" will hush it too.
Codes usually arrive within a minute. Double-check the number you entered, wait a moment, then request a new code. If SMS still doesn't arrive, email us and we'll sort it out.
No. You keep the number you already have. Screening happens on calls your carrier forwards when you don't answer.
Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and most GSM carriers that support conditional call forwarding. The app provides the exact enable and disable codes for your carrier.
Never. Only the individual contacts you toggle on are sent to PrivyPIN. Everything else stays on your phone. Read the details in our Privacy Policy.
Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple App Store account settings. Deleting the app alone does not cancel the subscription.
